This project seeks to build on existing initiatives in the states and promising approaches in the field by identifying projects engaged in similar activities and seeking similar outcomes. Participating projects were invited to discuss their endeavors in facilitated in facilitated focus groups held in both New Orleans, LA in December of 2002 and in Washington, D.C. in January 2003. This focus groups brought together leaders in the field from around the country to discuss the needs, challenges and successes of measuring performance for justice IT projects.

CSLJ is continuing its efforts to invite and enlist participating projects to become part of this valuable performance measurement initiative. Participating projects will have the opportunity to share and learn from their peers as they provide critical input to develop valid, field-tested and practical prototype performance measures for justice IT projects that meet state and local needs.

As a CSLJ Participating Project, you will be invited to become a part of the CSLJ performance measurement team. You can participate in this endeavor through a variety of avenues, such as attending upcoming project focus groups, joining the CSLJ intranet, reviewing draft tools and measures, and working directly with project staff to define your performance measurement challenges and needs.
