Integrated
Justice Information Systems
Project
Management Course
The IJIS Industry Working Group, in conjunction with Auburn University,
Montgomery is offering a comprehensive Project Management Course designed
specifically to provide basic and advanced knowledge skills in managing
projects related to implementing an Integrated Justice Information System.
This intensive one week accredited course will provide the basic skills
necessary to manage complex integrated justice information system implementation
(see course outline).
Participants will learn how to create project plans, assess business
issues, identify functional requirements, specify technical requirements,
manage the procurement process and control the implementation of integrated
justice information systems.
This course will be taught by faculty and guest lecturers from industry
who are practicing professionals with years of justice information technology
implementation experience. These individuals are leaders in this field
who will share their practical experiences and identify critical success
factors in IJIS implementation management.
Costs for the one-week program will be the responsibility of the attendees.
Tuition is set at $895.00. Special hotel rates are available in the
Montgomery, Alabama area with shuttle service to the AUM campus. Graduates
of this course will received 3 semester hours of graduate or under graduate
credit. The AUM Undergraduate Transient
Student Form for single term admission must be filed to register
for the class.
The IWG and AUM with support from the Center for Society, Law and Justice
at the University of New Orleans plan to offer this course a minimum of four
